During Savitri Yajna 2012 — The Year of Reading Savitri — we will be posting at this website recorded readings from Sri Aurobindo’s epic poem at about two pages per day, starting on Thursday, 12/22/2011, the Winter Solstice, and continuing daily to the finale on 12/21/2012.   The voices of students and sadhaks around the world will render the verses of Savitri in English to an Internet-based international audience.

Volunteering readers can choose  their birthdays, anniversaries, or other special occasions for their two-page reading to be posted here.   We will try to assign you the date(s) of your choice on a first-come, first-served basis.  The specific reading for your assigned date(s) with page number references in the standard 1993 edition of Savitri will be given to you prior to your recording.  We request you to submit audio recordings of good sound quality in MP3 format to be posted here, along with an optional short bio of your association with Savitri, Integral Yoga, Sri Aurobindo, and the Mother.  Instructions for this will be provided later, after your date is scheduled.

The daily readings from different sources will be archived here so that all of Savitri can be heard by the end of 2012.
